Intec and Z - Trade Show Group Sets Course for March 2021

The successful pair of trade shows Intec and Z have opened exhibitor registration. From 2 to 5 March 2021, the Leipziger Messe will once again be transformed into the epicentre of production technology for metalworking and the European supplier industry, offering orientation for the sector in times of serious industrial upheaval.

"Intec and Z trade shows will be the industry's most important get-together in 2021 for production technology in metalworking and the supplier industry in Germany," states Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. "As the industry is currently undergoing a period of radical change, the trade fair association will provide the ideal platform to facilitate industry dialogue and provide inspiration for the future - an absolute must at the very beginning of the year."

The conditions could not be better for the upcoming preparations for the trade fair: Intec is one of the leading trade shows for metalworking in Europe and is used as an efficient marketplace by global market leaders as well as small and medium-sized companies. The majority of the exhibitors at Z, one of the most important European subcontracting fairs, are mid-level suppliers and industrial service providers. At Intec and Z 2019, 1,324 exhibitors from 31 countries presented their new products and extensive service ranges to 24,400 visitors from 41 countries.

Intec and Z 2021: Charting a Course for the Future of the Industry

"The key areas for the trade fair association are set," explains Kersten Bunke, Project Director of Intec and Z: "In times of technological change, we are using special presentations and events in the conference programme to address topics that are already playing a major role in industry's R&D departments and which will decisively change production in the future."

Some of the 2021 special presentations are on "Additive + Hybrid - Manufacturing in Transition" and "Sensor Technology - On the Way to Intelligent Production and Smart Products", designed and organised by Leipziger Messe together with experts from a programme committee. In the field of sensor technology, the tried and tested cooperation with automotive supplier initiative Sachsen AMZ will be continued.
